Wouxun
Quanzhou Wouxun Electronics Co., Ltd. is a Chinese radio manufacturer form Quanzhou, Fujian. The company was founded in 2000 and is manufacturing ham radios and professional handheld radios with a worldwide distribution.[1]

Mr. Chen Xiaoduan, the founder of Wouxun, decided to go back to his hometown to set up his own walkie-talkie factory. The "WOUXUN" trademark was successfully registered in China in 2004, and the English trademark Madrid international trademark was successfully registered in 2010. At the same time, it has independent trademarks in more than 10 countries and regions, such as the European Union, the United States, Canada and so on.
In 2009 Wouxun presented the dual-band handheld walkie-talkie KG-UVD1P. The radio became soon popular at the China market.
According to the company the name WOUXUN means: "W" means "World", "OU" means "Singing" in Chinese,representing the tone of Wouxun products and "XUN" means "Communication".[2]
The company has about 100 employees. According to their own, the company spend 30% of the turnover on product-developing annually.[3]

Wouxun handheld raiods are FCC type accepted for commercial use and comply with the new 2013 narrow banding laws.[4] The Radios are based on IC-technology of RDA circuits.
Wouxun radios meet the quality and a price range of Japanese ham radio companies. The company meets ISO9001 Quality management standards.[5]
In Germany some Wouxun radios are distributed by local deales labeled as "Maas" and "Team", but are original Wouxun radios.[6]
