Raajhorshee De is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Bengali cinema.[1][2]
Career[edit]
De was actively involved in the Bengali professional theatre circuit in Kolkata. He has acted in Rudhha Sangeet and was a founding member and Secretary of Kalindi Bratyajon.[3]
2010–2016[edit]
In 2010, De joined Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited and became an integral part of the creative team at Zee Bangla. In 2013, he launched the first-ever 24x7 Bengali cinema channel, Zee Bangla Cinema,[4] which achieved a record GRP of 105. This was followed by the launch of Zee Bangla Cinema Originals, where he served as the Creative Head for 22 original Bengali films produced by Prosenjit Chatterjee's company, Nideas. These films included Ekla Cholo Re[5], Kader Kuler Bou, Ekti Bangalee Bhooter Golpo, Swade Allahde, Barood, Bhengchi, Hashite Hashio Na, and others.[6]
In 2016, he joined Viacom 18 and conceptualized Bigg Boss Bangla Season 2, with Jeet as the anchor of the show.
