Ghostlight is a 2024 American drama film, directed by Kelly O'Sullivan and Alex Thompson, from a screenplay by O'Sullivan. It stars Keith Kupferer, Dolly de Leon, Katherine May Kupferer, Tara Mallen, Hana Dworkin, Tommy Rivera-Vega, Alma Washington, H.B. Ward, Dexter Zollicoffer, Deanna Dunagan and Francis Guinan.
It had its world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival on January 18, 2024, and is scheduled to be released on June 14, 2024, by IFC Films and Sapan Studio.
Premise[edit]
A tender and heartwarming drama about a construction worker who is pulled into a local production of Romeo and Juliet, only to find community and a way to work through his own family troubles.[1]

Release[edit]
The film had its world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival on January 18, 2024.[2][3] A week later, IFC Films and Sapan Studio acquired distribution rights to the film.[4] It also screened at South by Southwest on March 10, 2024.[5][6] It is scheduled to be released on June 14, 2024.[7]
Reception[edit]
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 100% of 18 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 8.50/10.[8] Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 87 out of 100, based on 8 critics, indicating "universal acclaim".[9]
The film won first runner up for the Golden Space Needle Award, co-directors O'Sullivan and Thompson won the audience award for Best Directors, and Keith Kupferer won Best Performance at the Seattle International Film Festival.[10]
