Yellow River Sports Center

The Yellow River Sports Center is a multi-purpose sports complex currently under construction in Jinan, Shandong, China. The centerpiece of the complex is a 60,000-seat professional football stadium, the second of its kind in Shandong Province. Construction of the Yellow River Sports Center is ongoing, with the steel structure erection phase having commenced in January 2023. The project, undertaken by China Construction, involves approximately 23,000 tons of steel and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. The stadium is scheduled to open to the public in 2025.^[1]^[2]

Location[edit]

The Yellow River Sports Center is strategically situated along the Yellow River in the starting area of Jinan's new and old kinetic energy conversion zone. It is bordered by Fenghuang Road to the north, Huahe Road to the south, Yellow River Avenue to the west, and the Yellow River Ecological Landscape Belt to the east. This prime location makes it a key project for ecological protection and development in the Yellow River Basin.^[3]^[4]^[5]
