Judicial elections for the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the West Virginia Circuit Courts were held on November 7, 1978. Two judicial circuit seats were up for election in 1978, both in the sixth circuit, for one full term and one unexpired term. No partisan primary election was held for either seat.
