Guy Deutscher (died May 4, 2024) was an Israeli physicist who was professor emeritus of physics at Tel Aviv University.[1] His area of research was experimental solid-state physics and superconductivity.[2]

Deutscher completed his dissertation under the direction of the theoretical physicist Pierre Gilles de Gennes at the University of Paris-Sud in 1967 as a member of "the Orsay group on superconductivity".[3][4] He died on May 4, 2024.[1]
