Pargat Singh (born 13 April 1992) is an Indian-born cricketer who plays for the Canada national cricket team.[1] He made his first-class debut on 22 October 2015 in the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy.[2]

Early life and family[edit]

Pargat Singh was born on 13 April 1992 in Rupnagar, Punjab, India. He spent most of his early life in Jalandar.[3]

Singh moved to Canada with his family in 2020.[3]

Career[edit]

Singh made his List A debut on 10 December 2015 in the 2015–16 Vijay Hazare Trophy.[4] He made his Twenty20 debut on 2 January 2016 in the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.[5]

In November 2022, Singh was named in Canada's T20I squad for the 2022 Desert Cup T20I Series.[6] He made his T20I debut on 14 November 2022, against Bahrain.[7]

In March 2023, Singh was named in Canada's squad for the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off.[8] He made his One Day International (ODI) debut on 27 March 2023, for Canada, against Jersey in that tournament.[9] He scored his maiden century in ODI cricket on 1 April 2023, against the United Arab Emirates.[10]

In May 2024, Singh was named in Canada’s squad for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament.[11]
