Phantom Blade Zero is a upcoming action role-playing game with hack and slash elements being developed and published by game studio S-GAME for Windows and PlayStation 5. The game will feature fast-paced, third-person combat set in a dark, samurai-themed world. The game is a spiritual successor to the game Rainblood: Town of Death.[1]

Gameplay[edit]

Phantom Blade Zero is set in the Phantom World, a shared world with other games developed by S-GAME. In Phantom Blade Zero, the player controls Soul, an elite assassin who serves an organization known as The Order. Players can explore a semi-open world split into large connected areas while fighting perilous foes. The combat utilizes a two-button combo system that lets the player unleash stylish attacks and a block that drains stamina. The game's combat has been compared to Dark Souls and other Soulslike games.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]

Plot[edit]

The main character Soul is framed for the murder of The Order's patriarch. Soul gets severely injured in an ensuing manhunt and a mystic healer saves Soul from dying with a magic cure. The cure lasts for 66 days and Soul must find who framed him for murder before his time runs out.[1][9]
